CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF INTEGRAL STUDIES
San Francisco, CA
The Women's Spirituality M.A. and Ph.D. program in Philosophy and
Religion at CIIS is the first accredited graduate program of its kind in
the world. We seek an embodied scholarship inclusive of the arts,
spiritual expression, and cultural activism. Inspired by grassroots
women's spirituality and feminist and womanist movements of recent
decades, the program offers an interdisciplinary, inter-faith curriculum
that celebrates the international presence, gifts, talents, and
contributions of women of faith in many parts of the global community.
Through its multicultural curriculum and study abroad opportunities, the
program cultivates learning that integrates feeling, imagination,
expressive, and cognitive skills, spiritual insight, personal healing,
and community service. Degrees may be completed either residentially,
or through a flexible formats option that includes weekends, online,
workshops, and/or summer sessions.

Women's Spirituality at CIIS is linked to human rights, ecological, and
other peace and social justice movements that seek to cherish and change
the world. One of the program's primary professional goals is to empower
women and men to participate more fully in the global culture of the
21st century. Thus, the program encourages embodied scholarship that
encompasses feeling, imagination, expressive and cognitive skills,
spiritual insight, and social and cultural activism. It nurtures a
student's creativity through its use of the visual, literary,
performing, and ritual arts. The program also fosters a student's
appreciation of diversity. It does this through its study and
celebration of women's experiences and contributions throughout history
and across cultures.

CALIFORNIA SCHOOLS OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

"The four campuses of CSPP offer APA accredited programs which are clearly cross-cultural in their foci. Those campuses have been in the forefront of the development and implementation of cross-cultural psychology programs. The CSPP system has an institute called the MERIT Institute (Multicultural Education, Research, Intervention, and Training) which uses the best of its faculty in cross-cultural psychology across the four campuses (e.g., Oliva Espin, Derald Wing Sue).

“The program's explicit mission is to prioritize social justice issues and doing work in the community that makes a difference--feminism in many forms falls under that umbrella, of course! WALDEN UNIVERSITY
http://higher.waldenu.edu/ctanopop/psychology.cfm
"€œI think that it could be included in your list as it has many feminist friendly faculty and the University is devoted to social change. The School of Psychology has Master's and Doctorate programs in most areas of psychology.” (POWR-L)
“I have taught for Walden since 2000. I am vocal and open about being a feminist psychologist and a feminist therapist. For the past few years, I have presented at their face-to-face residencies on Feminist Therapy. The sessions have been well-attended. There has been much positive feedback from students. In the past, some of the faculty (male) were not open to feminist conceptualizations and theories. However, the current crop of faculty appear to be feminist friendly. Qualitative research is valued.
The students at Walden represent a wide-range of abilities and viewpoints. In the advanced courses I teach, I am open about my viewpoints and my feminist orientation. Many of my students are just as open about their conservative views. As of yet, we have not clashed. Additionally, it is a distance ed university-- most of the courses are on-line. For doctoral programs there are required face-to-face "residencies". It is a fairly flexible degree program for working adults and also has many students (and some faculty) who are in other countries. Walden consciously tries to be more international in scope."€
